Dr. Fakhar speaks at Peace Foundation Seminar regarding issue confronting Muslim Ummah

Prof. Dr. Fakhr-ul-Islam, Director Pakistan Study Centre University of Peshawar spoke at Peace Foundation Seminar regarding issue confronting Muslim Ummah, especially Al-Quds and Kashmir. Advisor to Chief Minister Mr. Arif Yousaf, Chairman Peace Foundation Peshawar Maqsood Ahmad Salafi and others also delivered speeches.

Prof. Dr. Fakhr-ul-Islam urged upon unity among the Muslim states before striving for liberation of  Al-Quds and Kashmir. He expressed his dismay that the whole Muslim Ummah is splintered into groups and no unified stand is in sight from their side about Al-Quds, Kashmir, Syria and other issues. He said besides unity, Muslim countries should improve their economic position and work hard for technological advancement. He severely criticized the OIC which is dormant for quite some time. He said, it is a high time either to reactivate or disband OIC. He said Muslim states should form their regional organizations and facilitate mutual trade and transfer of peaceful technology. He hoped that these measures will strengthen their position in the community of nations.
