Allama Iqbal Day Seminar at Pakistan Study Centre

To commemorate the 140th birth anniversary of Allama Iqbal, a seminar was arranged at Pakistan Study Centre University of Peshawar. Malik Liaquat Ali Tabbasun, Central Chairman of Pakistan Thinkers Form was the chief gust.

Speaking on the occasion, Director of the Centre Prof. Dr. Fakhr-ul-Islam said that Allama Muhammad Iqbal’s personality has several dimensions. He was a statesman, a poet, a philosopher and a politician. It was Allama Iqbal who offered philosophical and practicable solution to the problem of Indian Muslims. Dr. Fakhar urged upon the youth to comprehend the teachings of Allama Iqbal.

The chief guest, Malik Liaquat Ali Tabbasun, gave a detailed presentation on Allama Iqbal’s poetry. He said that Allama Iqbal emphasized over strengthening bonds of the Muslim Ummah. He said that youth were dear to the heart of Allama Iqbal, therefore the young generation should study his poetry. The seminar was also addressed by Dr. Fazlur Rahim, Miss Umul Ikram Qazi and Marina Khattak.
