Independence Week Celebrations at Pakistan Study Centre University of Peshawar

Pakistan Study Centre University of Peshawar observed Independence Day  Celebrations. A  National Level Webinar was arranged on the theme of “Rationale Behind the Creation of Pakistan”. The Director Prof Dr Fakhr-ul-Islam addressed the Independence Day function arranged by Council of Word Religions. He also participated in the TV talk show on the Role of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the Pakistan Movement. On 14th August, the Director and all staff members of the Centre attended flag hoisting ceremony  at Convocation Hall where Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Idrees was the Chief Guest.

 At the Pakistan Study Centre, the Director inaugurated the Books and Theses exhibition. He also hoisted the national flag at the building of the Centre. Another  ceremony was held at the Centre’s conference room wherein Dr. Fakhr-ul-Islam, Dr. Khan Faqir, Dr Farman Ullah and Mr. Abdullah delivered speeches on various aspects of Pakistan Movement. Children also presented national songs.  Moreover, the building of the Centre was illuminated for 3 days.
