Director Prof Dr Fakhrul Islam presided over Condolence reference for late Muhammad Aslam Khan, Regional Manager Hamdard Peshawar. He paid rich tributes to the deceased. Hakim Abdul Waheed, Syed Mushtaq Hussain, Malik Liaquat Ali, Prof Roshan Khatak, Dr Adnan Sarwar, Ghazala Yousaf, Shahana Nadir and others spoke on the occasion

Pakistan Study Centre University of Peshawar celebrated 74th Independence Day with patriotic fervour. Director Prof Dr Fakhr-ul-Islam represented the Centre in the grand flag hoisting ceremony at the University Convocation Hall wherein Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Idrees was the Chief Guest.   

In Pakistan Study Centre alone, the Director hoisted national flag on the building. He also performed cake cutting ceremony. Children sang national songs. A two-day exhibition of research dissertations attracted quite a good number of people.  The participants prayed for solidarity and prosperity of Pakistan. A large number of students, faculty and admn staff and their family members attended the celebrations.  

  

Prof Dr. Muhammad Idrees Vice Chancellor University of Peshawar inaugurated exhibition at Pakistan Study Centre. The exhibition was arranged in connection with the commemoration of Independence Day. Dissertations, books, reports, conference proceedings and research journals produced by the Centre were displayed on the occasion. A large number of faculty members, scholars and the general public visited the exhibition.

Speaking on the occasion, Director Professor Dr Fakh-ul-Islam said that the Centre has a largest collection of theses in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on variety of subjects. He invited interested parties to come up for mutual utilization of the huge research repository for the benefit of the society.

The Vice Chancellor said that Pakistan Study Centre is one of the prestigious and productive academic and research institutions. He said that credit for its performance goes to its Director and his team.
