Graduate Studies Committee meeting of Pakistan Study Centre University of Peshawar held on January 17, 2016. A heavy agenda pertaining to MPhil/PhD cases was disposed of. The meeting was presided over by Prof Dr Fakhr-ul-Islam. Besides him, Prof Dr Fazlur Rahim Marwat (VC Bacha Khan University), Prof Dr Taj Muharram Khan (Director Distance Education), Prof Dr Zahid Anwar  (Department of Political Science) and Dr Abdullah Khan attended the meeting.


پاکستان سٹڈی سینٹر یونیورسٹی آف پشاور کا اولین مجلہ " پاکستان سٹڈیز سٹوڈنٹس میگزین" شائع ہوگیا. اس کے ایڈیٹر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر فخرالاسلام ڈائریکٹر پاکستان سٹڈی سینٹر یونیورسٹی آف پشاور ہیں جبکہ  سٹاف ایڈیٹر طارق آمین اور سٹوڈنٹس ایڈیٹر ز مس نادیہ خان( اردو سیکشن ), سرمہاد صافی( پشتو سیکشن)اور وقاص احمد( انگریزی سیکشن)  شامل ہیں۔ میگزین 86 صفحا ت پر مشتمل ہے جن میں پشتو کے 36, اردو کے 22 اور انگریزی کے 28 صفحات ہیں

میگزین کے تینوں سیکشنوں میں موجودہ اور پرانے طلباء و طالبات کے مضامین اور شاعری کے نمونے شائع کئے گئے ہیں۔ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر فخرالاسلام نے میگزین کی اشاعت کو تاریخی واقعہ قرار دیا۔ اُنہوں نے اس کامیابی  کو اللہ کا فضل اور ایڈیٹروں اور لکھاریوں کی محنت کا نتیجہ قرار دیا۔ میگزین کی رونمایٗی جلد ہوگی۔  

 

 

A delegation from Frontier College for Women Peshawar visited Pakistan Study Centre University of Peshawar. The delegation was led by Ms. Naheed Hussain, Assistant Professor. The delegation visited various parts of the Centre. At the end a Seminar was held with “Women Education and National Development” as its theme.

Director Pakistan Study Centre Prof. Dr. Fakhr-ul-Islam delivered his key note address. He said that educating a man is educating an individual. But educating a woman is educating a generation. He said that education not only inculcate civilizational values but also helps in eradicating poverty. He advised the young ladies to focus on their studies and avoid using of time wasting gadgets. The seminar was also attended by faculty and administrative staff of the Centre. At the end Ms. Naheed Hussain and students thanked the Director and other staff of the Centre for their care and hospitality.
