Pakistan Studies alumni meet at Chitral

The alumni of Pakistan Study Centre University of Peshawar held a gathering at the University of Chitral. The programme was part of a campaign launched by Director of the Centre Prof. Dr. Fakhr-ul-Islam. The theme of the campaign is “Meet the Pakistan Studies Alumni”. Earlier such gatherings were held in Swabi, Mansehra, Bannu, Lakki Marwat, Swat, Dir Upper and lower. Speaking in the Chitral function, Director of the Centre Prof. Dr. Fakhr-ul-Islam said that higher education plays a vital role in the development of nation. He said that Pakistan Study Centre has produced more than 1500 highly qualified people. He further said that the aim of the campaign is to reach out the graduates and urge them to utilize their expertise for the country and the community around them. He urged upon the alumni to patronize their alma matter.  

Speaking on the occasion, Vice Chancellor of Chitral University Prof. Dr. Badsahah Bukhari appreciated the idea of meeting alumni at their respective districts. He said the credit for implementing such a novel idea goes to Prof. Dr. Fakhr-ul-Islam. The alumni present on the occasion expressed their gladness over the meeting of alumni of different sessions.
